It’s been a little while, and for those that follow me on my socials, you’ll know where I have been. It’s been a busy couple of months, and I need to thank you all for baring with me while I finished my Media degree, submitted my dissertation and got a small taste of freedom.
As the majority of you (I hope) are following government guidelines and staying home, to help with the fight against Covid-19, I’m sure you’re on the hunt for something new to binge during all this free time. Here are the things I’ve been hooked on now that the UK has finally been graced with the presence of Disney+
The Imagineering Story
This was essentially the entire topic of my dissertation and so I definitely used the ‘studying’ excuse to give myself a break and see the behind the scenes of park design, listen to the imagineers and the reasons behind their choices, as well as learn some cool facts, that even me, 10,000 words deep into my dissertation didn’t know.
This is the best documentary that I’ve seen about Disney and its parks, and believe me, I’ve seen a lot!
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series
WHAT A SHOW!? It’s cheesy, its cute and it’s just feel good. Plus the songs are actually fantastic. I’ve been living for Fridays so that I could catch a new episode, and I’m devastated that the series has come to an end. Good news is that anyone wanting to give this one a go can now binge watch and live their best HSM lives all in one go!
I’ll warn you now though, it ends on a cliffhanger and I’m SO mad!
This film is not normally something that I would pick, but I am so glad that I did! It’s so heartwarming, emotional and hard hitting. Snuggle up with a blanket and grab your favourite snacks to enjoy this one, and maybe keep some tissues on standby.
Forky Asks a Question
This collection of shorts is the pick me up that everyone seems to be needing right now, they’re silly and fun, and they’re only around 5 minutes, so even if you’re pushed for time there’s something that can give you a little Disney fix and bring a smile to your face! These have kept me sane on my study breaks!
Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings
I’ve always been a sucker for wedding shows, but this really is just next level. It makes me want to win the lottery so I can run away to Disney with everyone that I know and be a real princess in a gown with my Prince. I’m serious. It’s the stuff of dreams. I suggest everyone forces their partners to give it a watch!
Now that my dissertation is over I have a lot more free time so I really need your top picks and favourite shows! Drop some recommendations in the comments!
